Re: Russian Green Scout Knife
Have handled one and it was part of a deal that Beryl Barnett and I did with some guys from OPFOR. Beryl ended up with it. It was complete including both the rubber and leather hangers and in nice condition. It has changed hands several times now and I have lost track of who owns it.

Re: Russian Green Scout Knife
Wow. Also never seen one openly for sale. Looks like mine, although rare to find them with the serials intact. They are usually removed.
Have had lots of debates as to whether this one is a NRS with the mechanism removed and the plug installed, or if it is an NR knife. Most Russian collectors swear it is an NR knife. But I maintain that with that filler plug and cocking slot on the one side, it is an NRS without mechanism.
Man, I would like to find just the mechanism oneday. Anyone?

Re: Russian Green Scout Knife
Ah well...I went to $1000. I still think $1250 was a steal. I have seen them offered for $1800 upwards.
Guess I'll be hanging onto mine for a while.
Gotta find a mechanism....somewhere.
Anyone here buy that one?
