Double Stamped Russian Bayonets

I just purchased 2 double stamped bakelite bayos. 1 Tula and 1 Izzy.
What was the deal with the double stamp? were these early or late issued bayonets?

Most Izzy AKM's that I have are marked where yours are. I think any with only one mark would be the exception, not the rule?
They speak about Tula "double stars" like they are rarer though, although all of mine have 2 stars. So not sure what the deal is with those. Perhaps Mike or Martin will fill us in.

Okay here goes, every non-reworked Izhevsk 6X4 bayonet I own has a logo on the grip somewhere. I have ones with the Large Triangle on the side of the grip, and ones with the small triangle on the grip slope offset away from the muzzle ring, and my narrowed pommel has a medium size logo on the grip slope near the center, which appears to be the same location as in Frank's picture. My one Izhevsk 6X4 without a logo on the grip is also the one that has all of the Afghan War trench art and is an obvious arsenal rework based on the scabbard having its original serial number ground off and renumbered to match the knife.

AS for Tula 6X4's, I have seen ones without a star logo on the grip at about a 2 to 1 ratio as those with the star logo on the side of the grip. Both types have been non-reworked pieces.

i would like to see the differences between all of those.

My Tula is marked on the scabbard and also half way down the grip. had matched numbers on both then both crossed out then electro penciled matched too. weird. im thinking it was sold of to maybe another army?

Arsenal refinished and rematched numbers. They didn't care if they were originally matching, they would reserial it anyways. I consider those as good as original matching numbers.

Updated info in my June 18 post. Thanks to Mr. B. I found logos stamped on bottom of cross guards.
