Re: Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II Scabbard Variations

I have been doing some research on the Yugoslavian AKM bayonets and scabbards recently... The scabbard looks quite commercial to Hungary M.63. The should have a square hole in the bottom. The Yugoslav M.70e first Scabbard should look like this. Gerhard I never knew this! You guys are a treasure tro...

I never corresponded with Bill. Sadly now, a forever missed opportunity to do such. RIP Bill.

Re: Commercial bayonet

Interesting but like Mr. B (Mike) noted, "I would still like to have one, but not a high priority at that price". I can occasionally find milsurp AKM bayo's for that price and cheaper.

Thanks for the info.

Sturm Export Type I

I picked up this nice Sturm exported Type I a couple of weeks ago at a Military Surplus store in Western Illinois. Owner had it for $50, he agreed to $40 and it came with me. I still have a few old AKM 30rd magazines from Sturm Exporters from way back, as typical with East German manufacturing, high...

Re: World Wide Pandemic

If a US lock down does occur, I'm going to need to get back home where I have prepared over the years for such emergencies. It's also good to have a network of talented friends in the firearms business. What isn't good, is being 1880 miles from home at this point in time but it is paying the bills t...

Richard,

The US government in its infinite wisdom destroyed 1000s of AKs captured in Iraq including some brand new rifles from the Tabuk production line....
A very sad day. I would've loved getting my hands on those parts kits. They would've made some great builds.
