Re: Egyptian AKM Type II Blue Grip Bayonet
Just got my second Maadi. Supposed to be blue grip, but tell the truth, it looks just as black as my first one. Typical crap construction though

Re: Egyptian AKM Quality Control Sample !?
Wow, Mike I thought mine was bad. This was definitely put together by a hungover retarded monkey at about 4 pm on a Friday before three day weekend. Just didn't give a sh--t.
Re: INSAS
There is an INSAS on ebay right now, but the opening bid amount is $750.00. I want one, but not nearly that bad

Re: East German AK47 & AKM Bayonet Trainer
Thanks Mike, this stuff is always interesting. Hopefully someone out there has a marked one. No doubt this is all original, but very little reference info on these. Mine has the black grip on the bayonet

Mr B, does your example have a model number on top of the barrel? Mine is marked "model 4853"

Re: Polish Training Bayonets
Thanks for the replies, guys. Mine is an Nr, dated 1987, it is in what I would call unissued condition, lots of cosmoline on the "blade." Paid $75.00, so not bad.

Re: Chinese Type 81 Bayonet and Scabbard
What is a decent price for a PLA Tyoe 81 (not the commercial ones?)
Re: Why?
Oops, sorry just noticed, that is the folding bayonet. Will shut up now.
Re: Why?
Martin, are you looking at the second picture? I see some weirdness too-- the grip looks right for an AK 47 but to my eye, the blade seems too long, and almost looks like a spike shape rather than the spear point fullered ak blade? I guess could be shadows or just picture quality?

Polish Training Bayonets
Just scored a really nice, I would say unissued, 1987 Polish training bayonet. Are these fairly common, and any opinions about value?

Re: Bulgarian AK74 Type III bayonet and scabbard arsenal mark variations
Looking at my previous post about the relative quality/usefulness of the AKM Type 2 and Type 3, and Mike (Mr. B) response, I want to retract what I said about the type 2 being superior. Yes, I do have a type 3 that broke at the end of the tang. However, it should have been apparent to me that the ...

Broke down and bought one. Anyone surprised?
