Re: Is this a bayonet for an AK?
If the front sight carrier in the picture below has a rail at the back, the bayonet can be securely and permanently attached to it. Only the muzzle compensator is a bit very short, it may be that it does not belong to the M.64 variant shown and a different compensator was screwed on just for photo ...

Re: Is this a bayonet for an AK?
I also considered the Yugo M.64. As far as I know, there was no bayonet intended for this, but you never know what the Yugo. had been tinkering with. If the gas pickup bracket (circled in blue) has a rail at the bottom (blue line), there is still about 2.5cm missing from the gas pickup bracket to ...

Re: Yugo fighting knife
Champing knife made from Yugolavian M.70A (6X3) bayonet Bypassing the license for the production of AK47 rifles, Yugoslavia secretly manufactured them from 1965 onwards with the accompanying 6X3 bayonet. When Yugoslavia officially acquired the license in 1970, these bayonets were obsolete, so they ...

Re: Identify Iraqi / romanian bayonet
I know this bayonet, it's Iraqi. I don't like the combination. I've never seen a DDR M.59/2 - M.74 sheath on an Iraq mix. And the Romanian green webbing hanger is also atypical for it. Otherwise, I agree with Mike's comment. The achieved auction price was still acceptable. Ich kenne dieses Bajonett ...

Poor museum, not very informative. I would have expected more from a weapons museum.

Re: Type I Flat Pommel Variation
Alexander, thanks for the Photos! Unfortunately, I can't see a clear line or standard on the acceptance stamps of the Romanian bayonets. This is probably due to the mentality of the Romanians. Apparently they didn't invent quality work. Unfortunately, it is very rare to find bayonets with a clear ...

Re: Type I Flat Pommel Variation
If I see it correctly, you have the two variants that Mike mentioned in his post from December 19, 2015.
I would also be interested in the Cigur logos on the base behind the retaining ring and all the acceptance stamps.
Very nice bayonets.

Re: East German AKM Type i and II Hangers
These hangers were only produced in 1968. This can only be proven with replacement scabbards and replacement bayonets in packaging. It is not 100% possible to date Ak-bayonets that have been issued since they could have been exchanged with other carrying devices from the most varied of production ...

Re: AK47 Poland
Hi Mike, Bayonets without inspection and acceptance stamps are a little boring to me, about the same as Postage Stamp without a watermark. Hmm, now I'm a bit embarrassed, Pol. AK47 bayonets from 1975? Is definitely ais definitely a twisted number. Pol.AK47 bayonets from 1957 would be of interest to ...

Re: North Korean Transitionals
North Korea actually has a great many varieties of AK bayonets that most of us will never get our hands on. The second transition bayonet is 100% handicraft work. At first glance you can see that the blade bends upwards, everything else, I save myself the trouble, Mike has already commented on it ...

I haven't seen a single one with a clear stamp.
I still have examples of stamps here but not clean.

Re: North Korea
Nothing wrong with that, nice piece.
It would be perfect if there were stamps on the grip head, unfortunately these stamps are almost always badly hammered in.
