Weird Russian AK47 Belt Hanger !?

I saw this belt hanger on eBay and thought I would share it here. From the markings and details, the bayonet and scabbard appeared to be an original Russian AK47 from Izhevsk. The belt hanger is obviously a hand made replacement installed at some unknown time and place. I do not believe this is original or even an authorized rework or repair. It is even a lot of work for an emergency field repair, but deserves credit for originality. The button and webbing could easily have come from other military gear. Note the crimped/staked metal scabbard band to hold the hanger in place. Mike
