WOW! Nice find! Great pictures! It does look like the one in the foreground in the picture above. Notice the next two or three in line appear to have the same hilt, but the bowie blade with the blood groove as the earlier N.K. AKM non-wire cutter bayonets. Perhaps transitional models, as they did when changing from their AK47 bayonets to the AKM bayonets? I can't tell for sure, but the rifles appear to be AK74 copies.

Is this your bayonet or just pictures you took or found? More details please? Scabbard? Mike

I found these pictures of a supposedly N.K. AKM Type II bayonet and scabbard on another site. They certainly seem similar. Mike

It's mine, scabbard appear to be russian T1.

I guess this bayonet came from Africa.
Russian scabbard with romanian frog.

For me there are at least 3 variants of north korean T2 bayonets.

The variant like mine with no screw to attach the pommel to grip, the variant with bowie T68 similar blade and the one like on your picture Mr B.

I agree that there seems to be several versions of the N.K. AKM Type II bayonets and scabbards from the pictures. It looks like we are a couple generations behind as collectors. I like the pictures of the markings. I think the "star" one is a stretch as trying to place a stamping in that position in the curve of the muzzle ring would be very difficult when flat surfaces are available. As another note, if you look closely at a lot of other bayonets and scabbards the stamped dots can be found on various metal parts. These small dimples are a result of a simple hardness test or proof mark. Mike
