After inspection I found a marking on the scabbard of BA 463 and 756.
Stamping of what appears to be a “B”. On 755 there is no stamping.
I dont know if this is present on the regular wide pommel Romy 6x3, but its the first time I see it.

It’s interesting how the “letter-thing” keeps reoccurring on the Romy bayonets.
B,C and H is found on 6x4 model plastic scabbard.
C is found on 6x4 SA contract models on top of the cross guard (spotted on the 10xx serial).
B is seen on flat pommel 6x3 scabbards.
I wonder what they represent.

Alexander, thanks for the Photos!
Unfortunately, I can't see a clear line or standard on the acceptance stamps of the Romanian bayonets. This is probably due to the mentality of the Romanians. Apparently they didn't invent quality work. Unfortunately, it is very rare to find bayonets with a clear acceptance stamp.
I can't explain the letters on the Scabbards, I have my theories about it, but I can't find any evidence for it.
I'll show you a few examples.

Thanks for sharing the photos Gerhard. Yes, the stamping of these bayonets are of very inconsistent results. Hard to see what is going on.
The arrow in triangle in particular.

But yours had a very visible arrow.

With permission of another gentleman im uploading a few pics of RS 3747 for the record.

Again hard to get any reading of the stampings.

I realize this is an older thread. However I have a few Romanian Flat Pommels with matching numbered scabbards.
I would like to know how rare are they, and wondering what is their value?

Hi Wildthing,
Nice collection!! Some more detailed pictures of your items would make it easier to determine condition, year of manufacture etc.

Hi Joe, In the last 6 months I have sold 2 flat pommel Romanian 6X3 Type l bayonets and scabbards on eBay. Both were complete with correct hangers and wrist straps in EXC condition. One brought $135.00 the other $142.50. Like Dragur2791 says, it depends markings, condition, belt hangers and straps. I also sold 2 PSL, (single letter code), bayonets and scabbards complete in EXC.. One brought $99.00 and the other $139.00. Regards, Mike

I think your pics are very nice. Your bayonets look like NOS items. Almost no wear if any on the cutter plate and grips look pristine. The only thing I personally would pursue would be the genuine Romy leather wrist straps and hangers. The ones you got next to em appears to be Polish. I know a good place on ebay were a Romy seller sometimes has these accessories.

Over all very very nice bayonets. I agree with the value that Mike mentions when complete with leather accessories. Perhaps a tiny bit higher on a very good day.
