AKM 6x4 Yugoslavia

Post by Hombre »

This one I got together with the Russian made for Finland bayonet.
I believe it is an Yugoslavian AKM 6x4...
Numbers matching but unfortunately no wrist strap...
Should really appreciate opinions on this one too...

Best,
Stefan

Agree, it is a Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet and scabbard. The hanger is the correct original style with the tan color and a hook loop more elongated than other countries. The hook should also have the vertical grooves on the inside!? Also note in the pictures the hand etched marking on the ricasso. This is the original pairing marking before the bayonet and scabbard are numbered. A similar marking should be found on the front of the scabbard cutter plate near the pivot. The correct wrist strap would be a gray / green woven fabric with a small rivet. Lots of good info and pictures under "Yugoslavia" on this Forum. Mr. B.
