Egyptian AKM Bayonet Blade Variations

Postby Mr. B. » Mon Jan 11, 2016 8:45 pm

These pictures show some of the differences in the Egyptian AKM blade profiles and shapes. The early ones, like the brown grip one, had blades similar to other ComBloc countries with a "hooked/Bowie" point. The more recent ones and ones from the Balkan contracts have somewhat shorter blades with more of a clipped point. Notice all the variations in blade machining and grinding. This made be a difference in manufacturing methods or just a lack of uniformity and/or quality control. M.
