Got this one today... I believe it is a China AKM Type II Bayonet...
Should really appreciate opinions about it... Good and bad...

Yes it's a commercial chinese bayonet for export, a less common variant with the brass pin inserted in the grip.

Hi Stefan, I agree with Marc. These are not designed or used by any military. Made up as requested by buyers / collectors in the US. You can see a lot of the many variations under the “China” section here. This one does have the brass pin that is unusual. When exported from China most were unmarked / un-numbered. The collectors in the US wanted them matched to the rifles they were buying. So the importers ether stamped or etched the numbers on a few of them to be boxed with the rifles. Mike

Thank you so very much guys for the information. I really appreciate it!
Well, how shall a Chinese military AKM bayonet look like? I mean, how can you see if the bayonet is commercial or military?

Best,
Stefan

Because they never used AKM type II bayonet on military AK

Military type 56 were only equiped with "spike" bayonets.

This kind of bayonet is rarely seen locally in our country. Mainly for export. When China was poor, it used these imitation ak to earn foreign exchange. These 56s. will be included.

What about the Type 81 bayonets? Are they seen there or are they considered obsolete now?

type 81 in China is also relatively rare.
The army has strict control over military products.
Only a few of the t81 can. Flows out.
China's local market is also flooded with fake t81.
The type95 is currently in service.
