Russian AKM 6X4 Release Button Variations
Here is yet another minor variation to look for on Russian AKM 6X4 bayonets. Some of the catch release buttons have a beveled edge at the end. The ones with the beveled edge seem to be somewhat rare. I do not know when or why they were used, but they can be found on both Izhevsk and Tula bayonets. Perhaps they are a repair or replacement item!? There is an illustration showing both versions in a recent Russian reference book. Mike

Re: Russian AKM 6X4 Release Button Variations
Perhaps provided by a different suppliers or sub-contractors to both arsenals? As a side note the Bulgarian AKM 6X4 bayonets have the same variations. Again, possibly supplied from the same sources? Mike
