Hello Grardus - it's been a while since we have corresponded. Very interesting spec sheet for the KCB 77 M7. I've only seen a few of these bayonets in person, but one observation I made is that every one of them had a red screw in the grip, like the example Roger shows. The spec sheet clearly shows a black screw in the grip. What color is the screw on the bayonet in your collection? Bill

Sorry, but I rarely answer when someone asks what something is worth. Nine times out of ten the question is asked for one reason; someone wants to sell something and is afraid that they aren't going to get top dollar for their item. Forgive my cynicism, but I've been doing this for a long time and I can't tell you how many times a question about value is answered and two or three days later the same item shows up on ebay.
I believe it does. The picture is deceiving. Also note that the catch is much thinner/flat shaped on this design so it appears it is not all the way on the stud. Notice that the Eickhorn literature/ specification pages specifically mention AKM - AK47 - AK74. However, I do believe that the AK47 is mentioned in error as the bayonet will not mount on a standard AK47. During the time period this model was produced, Eickhorn made up samples of different versions of bayonets & scabbard to fit most of the military rifles available on the international market at that time. They were attempting to gain large contract sales on that market. These bayonets are featured in several AK references as non-Kalashnikov designed items. Mike
