Russia Izhevsk 6x4 bayonet
This is the first Soviet 6×4 bayonet I have received, and I am fortunate that it is brand new.
Re: Russia Izhevsk 6x4 bayonet
Looks like a very nice Russian AKM 6X4 Type II 2nd variation bayonet and scabbard from the Izhevsk arsenal. Complete with the correct hanger and strap. I can’t tell from the pictures if it is un-numbered or they have been removed.
If un-numbered it is a reserve bayonet. Most of the bayonets and scabbards are paired with, and numbered to a rifle before they leave the arsenal.A small percentage of production is set aside without numbers to be used as replacements. As bayonets are lost or damaged a replacement will be then numbered to a rifle.
I oersonally like to have the new, un-numbered ones in my collection. Mike

This bayonet has a matching serial number and has a good overall feel.
