Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II B&S unusual numbers?

Post by Mr. B. »

I recently noticed this Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet and scabbard listed on eBay. Unusual as they have only 2 numbers. Normally they have 5 to 6 numbers. Also, the numbers are upside down and not in the usual position. Normally they are read with the B&S held point up. Anyone have any idea if this is a known variation or just someone playing around? Exciting part!

Without factory numbering and visible control mark. Unusual!
I don't know them like that, they're numbered even for export, just like Mike described.
The number 28 was stamped with impact numbers, I think someone numbered their bayonets themselves. This can come from faulty production or from spare parts stocks. It can also be stolen from the factory.
I can't tell more from the picture.
