German AK Bayonet Collection

Post by Mr. B. »

Below are pictures of just my German collection. They are mostly East German, (DDR), with a few exceptions in the bottom row. Almost all the bayonets and scabbard have matching numbers or are un-numbered. A couple are intentionally miss-matched to display different variations and save space. They all represent different variations in the bayonets, scabbards, insulators, hangers, straps or finishes. Missing a few accessories, but also have a few extras. The books are German language references with additional pages of translations. There are two Federal Republic of Germany, (FRG), bayonets, (G36 and fighting knife conversions), in the bottom row. Also two converted for use/issue in Bulgaria and two North Vietnamese(?) bayonets that have new East German scabbards. Mike

Here are additional pictures of my German Bayonet collection. Original accessories, parts and labelled bags plus a sub-collection of rubber insulators with mold number variations. Back in the 1990's I bought up lots of DDR items, gun parts & furniture, ammo and magazines, uniforms, field gear, hats, helmets, bayonets and accessories. It was plentiful and cheap. This is about all of the bayonet stuff that is left. Never know when you might need something to up-grade or replace a missing item. Mike

I noticed a price tag in the bag my KM87 came in. It was labeled as a AK-84. The price was $150. I offered and bought 2 for $200. He had quite a few more, but I only had $200. Mike
