Forum style/look

Post by Brian »

Hi all,
I am still playing with the look of the forum a bit. I don't want to get too complicated...but also want it to be easy on the eyes.
I plan on having only one style, don't want to mess around with different templates.
Can you guys check these links and tell me which one you prefer?
You are looking at the first one currently. I like it, but it is a bit too light and the font irritates me a bit.
Then there is this one: index.php?style=6 (I think this one is simple but easy to read)
And then these is this one: index.php?style=4 (This one is also nice, just needs a logo)
Wanted to get your opinion.

Me too. Changed it to the default. You can still select others in your profile, but that will be the default for everyone. Thanks.

Is there any way to mark somehow to be seen which topic is unread or where is added new topic. Like color sugestions on icons? I do not know.

Sebastian, when you are logged in, unread topics and posts have an icon that is a different colour.
Are you a bit colour blind by any chance? I ask that, because I am, and I don't pick up the red difference easily myself. That may be the problem. Are others seeing the different icons?
Otherwise I will try and change the icons to look more different.
Edit to add: Made a change or 2...please press Ctrl+F5 to reload any page with new posts and clear cache, and let me know if it is better?

You can also click on the icon at the top left of the forum (3 horizontal lines) and choose to view only new topics/posts etc since you were last here.

:-) That's ok..so am I. Red deficient.
I am changing some of the icons to make it easier to see new posts. I am actually looking at the screen sometimes with a pair of 3D movie glasses, with red lenses. Then immediately I can see the difference. :-)
