Well actually they're here
I've found it difficult to track down any decent examples. My efforts to date have gotten me this little lot.

Re: The Russians are coming!
Welcome to the forum. Nice selection of Russian AK bayonets and scabbards.
I am also interested in 6X3 with the first style wrist strap. The original first style did not use a buckle, just a plain leather strap with two slots. This could be an un-documented transitional strap with a slot for the pommel loop and a single buckle. However the earliest buckles were thought to be black. Also, the next step from the plain leather is believed to be a strap with two buckles? Interesting find. Mike

Mike, could that just be an early strap with a buckle added.
Anthony, is there a slot cut in the end with the buckle/ Or maybe is this wrist strap a little shorter than others? I can imagine the slot in the end hooked to the ross guard tearing out and someone cutting the end off and adding a buckle as a repair.

Okay, original early strap that someone just added a buckle. One strap I'm missing from my collection because of a novice mistake when I first started collecting years ago.
