Re: East German Type II - Orange
Nice one, lighter colour than I am used to seeing. They are definitely not as common as they once were. Enjoy!

Re: East German AKM 6X4 Type II - Orange First Version
This is a variation of the East German (DDR) AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet and scabbard with the orange grip. This variation has already been discussed under the topic, "East German (DDR) AKM 6X4 Type II Serial Numbers". Relisting it here as it pertains to only the orange grip model. The earliest E.G. AKM 6X4 bayonets had the orange grips and a release catch plate with a flat top. Later versions have a oval shaped release catch plate with a round top. All of the last AKM 6X4 production had the round top catch release plate. Mike
