INSAS
INSAS
Here is the Indian INSAS bayonet. Not really an AK variant strictly speaking, but usually included due to its similarity to some AK bayonets. Not mine, found on the net years ago. But have one in my collection.

Re: INSAS
I just picked up an Indian INSAS bayonet & scabbard as well. Does anyone have any information on what belt hanger is used or perhaps a picture? Even better, does anyone have an original one for sale or trade?

Re: INSAS
In spite of being mass produced, the INSAS bayonet remain difficult to obtain due to the fact that they have not been released by the military and are illegal to possess by civilians in India. The INSAS system was somewhat of a failure in India and is being phased out after being used by India, Nepal, Bhutan and Oman. The INSAS weapons, including bayonets may soon sold to other countries and perhaps become more available in the future.
During my research I have found that there are at least five documented variations of the INSAS bayonet and scabbard.
1. All black metal parts, (painted or blued?) with shinny tan plastic.
2. All grey metal parts , (phosphate?) with dull tan plastic
3. All black metal parts with black plastic.
4. All black metal parts, shinny tan plastic and bright blade
5 All black metal parts, black plastic and bright blade.
