1958 acquisition

Post by steelmonkey »

While out & about yesterday just to get out of the hotel, I came across this Polish and a Bulgarian 47 "rework" at a local Army Surplus store. Typical 1958 with "A prefix". Nothing too special but at a good price of $35.

A pretty nice piece, not abused. This will look great on my Type 3 Polish milled AK. Would love to find the frog for this, if anyone has one for sale, please PM me. In fact I could use a couple of them. ;)

Nice example! The original sewn leather hangers are hard to find. There is one on eBay now at the same price you paid for the bayonet and scabbard. Seems rather high to me. Watch out for hand made reproductions, sloppy stitching and hilt straps that cross the wrong way. Mike
