I notice that the wrist strap is also unique and different than the normal Yugo one. I have a Slovenian hanger and would like to find a matching strap. Had a contact for one some time ago but lost connection. Would like to buy or trade for one if anyone has one available. M.

Yes little difference. Material, I do not say for any of this that is rare but I think that this on top is more common material they use for hangers.

If I still remember correct, first hangers we bought were like lower one on your last photo, all others were like upper one.

Here's the two I display and an extra one. One is the same as the above ones and may have originated from the same source. The 2nd one came from the Balkans during the conflicts there. The 2nd one looks to be very professionally made and a variation? The 3rd one also came from the Balkans. It has a Velcro hilt strap and seems more homemade. It also has a black metal snap hook assemble that looks similar to the common U.S. military LBE hooks. However these same hooks are frequently found on other Yugoslavian(?) hangers!? M.
