Here's a Egyptian AKM Type II brown grip from my collection. I picked up three bayonets in 1991 in Kuwait as I was just starting to collect AK bayonets. The only reference I had was from the article in the April 1987 issue of 'Soldier of Fortune' magazine. I was hoping to find an Egyptian one like the one pictured in the article. This is the one with a brown grip, gray insulator and Farsi numbers that closely match that picture. The second one had a brown grip, a more common black insulator and Farsi numbers. I later traded that one to another member of this forum. The third one is more of a mystery. I thought it was an Egyptian with a black grip and Farsi numbers in a Romanian hanger. More on this one in a separate post. M.
