Updated info in my June 18 post. Thanks to Mr. B. I found logos stamped on bottom of cross guards.

Re: Quiet
Does you 6x5 trials bayonet have the correct hanger with no D-ring?
Re: INSAS
Have never even seen a picture of the hanger used. It is set up for a snap hook style, but who knows.

Re: Double Stamped Russian Bayonets
Okay here goes, every non-reworked Izhevsk 6X4 bayonet I own has a logo on the grip somewhere. I have ones with the Large Triangle on the side of the grip, and ones with the small triangle on the grip slope offset away from the muzzle ring, and my narrowed pommel has a medium size logo on the grip s...

Re: Question serial numbers and importance.
I see, now I take on the role of Baba yaga. LOL
I know other collectors that prefer unissued and even know one collector that prefers battle field pickup bayonets. Each to his own.
Thanks
Martin

Re: Question serial numbers and importance.
I personally prefer them in the following order: 1. Matched serial number in excellent to new condition 2. Unissued or non-serial numbered in excellent to new condition. 3. Matched serial number in good to excellent condition. 4. Arsenal reworked, force matched in good to excellent condition. 5. Non...

Re: Russian Snap Hook Hangers AKM - AK74
A couple of comments on Mike's recent photos - The metal finish that has a gold tint is likely to be Zinc Chromate instead of Zinc Phosphate. This difference is seen on the metal on slings as well with the more matte silver finish produced by Zinc Phosphate used on earlier slings and the shinier gol...

Re: Polish M 1985 (GAL wz.85) Training Bayonet Variants
Mike says above "There seems to be only one major change in the metal parts and that is the extra rivet hole in the cross guard, which was not used, disappeared sometime in 1987. In SIG_551_SWAT's 2nd picture above it seems this happened between Nr 3391 and Nr 4371." I can narrow this down...

Re: Polish M 1985 (GAL wz.85) Training Bayonet Variants
Just noticed something funny about one of my 1987 dated pieces. Both the 8 in the date and an 8 in the serial number, Nr 03863, are stamped upside down. Polski must have been drunk that day. If anyone else has one of these with the same mis-stamp, let me know.

ML marked units are ones put together from parts post communist era, despite the date marks if I remember correctly.

Re: Looking for a Polish Type 1
Brian is correct. I have found a few force matched like the one on EBAY at this time. I have a non-serial numbered Brown grip knife in a serial numbered scabbard and a serial numbered orange grip knife in a non-serial numbered scabbard in my collection. Yes, I know I could do a mx and match, but I g...

Re: Polish Commemoratives
Bill, I like these, but fit them in with Franklin Collectible plates. I rate them well above the etched crap coming out of Croatia right now. However, I always felt the Poles did these for the instant collectors market and way over priced them. Just my opinion. Would I buy them if I could find them ...

Re: Russian Snap Hook Hangers AKM - AK74
Those last hangers are for those of you who want a faux Alligator hanger to match your faux Alligator combat boots. I see a lot of stuff coming out recently that is purported to be rare. We have the guys in Croatia etching blades on different bayonets and jacking the prices up, the most recent is th...
