Re: Been gone a while, back and looking to chat about bayonets

Hard line to draw, as many of us consider AK related to be fairly broad. VZ58, Valmet, Insas etc for example.
I would include them if it were me, as most who collect AK bayos include those.
I would also draw the line at those that aren't weapon mounted.
Good luck, will be following the project.

Re: Nobody here, what's wrong?

Feel free to post a link to your eBay page here. Or to individual auctions.
Looking forward to seeing what comes up. Could use a nice Tabuk or a few other bayo variants you have.
Good luck with the sales.

Re: Romanian Type II variations

In regards to trades I think an SA 6x4 bayo will get you very far Brian in regards to pebble stuff bayos. Its a much wanted item to quite a few collectors. Yeah, considering I haven't seen any more SA ones turn up in many years now, I think whatver batch "escaped" from Recce stores up Nor...

Re: Warsaw pact knives

Marco,
If you ever find a source for a mechanism....even a deact one, please let me know. I'm fascinated by the way they work and would really like an example.
That folding knife is also ultra rare. Beautiful collection!

Re: Warsaw pact knives

Wow...impressive collection. Particularly the NRS2's. I've been after a mechanism for my NRS or NRS2 for years. Pretty much impossible. But I'm not giving up hope. I have a handful of assorted knives like the Polish WZ.55 and the Spatsnaz machete you have there. I don't particularly collect Com-Bloc...

WHAT HAPPENED?

What happened? Why did we go down and why is some things a bit odd?
We were hacked.
Bastard hackers. I am still trying to work out what they did. And get things sorted. Hopefully we will get back to where we were.

Thanks for your patience.

Re: Romanian Type II variations

I will dig my SA ones out and take a look. I expect this came in trade from a SA collector? We are the only 2 that have had any numbers of them. I have not seen one available in years now. They remain locked up at 5 Recce. But I am trying all the time. I need some, to be able to trade for pebble gri...

Re: Unusual East German ?? AK Bayonet

My point is that those were likely never intended as belt clips. My ex boss in the arms industry was a Chinese diplomat, and we imported directtly from China. I expect at some point someone in the USA told the exporters "we want frogs or belt clips" or something, and then the Chinese start...

Re: Unusual East German ?? AK Bayonet

Imported many Chinese AK's from Norinco etc during the 90's, and also bayonets on their own...not one ever came with those metal clips that are so frequently bragged about. I have my doubts they were ever for the bayos, since they were commercial bayonets and not for issue anyways. Or someone at a C...

Really appreciate it Mike, and Alexander. True, it does help a lot. For anyone who does want to contribute anything, I can take PP via https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/japaneseswords and even have a direct CC processor if that is easier. This forum doesn't have a ton of daily posts, but thanks to peo...

Saw other captured equipment and they were regular 6X4;s, so wonder who exactly gets the 6X9?
Love to get one, but not holding my breath.

All 4 of the "Holy Grails" that we are all looking for :-)
Good luck Marco. I'd say #3 is the most likely. SA contract Romy's are impossible to find the last few years.
And the Pebble finish 6X4....I I think we all need those. #1 On my list too.
