Re: Russian AKM 6X3 Type I -II Transitional Bayonets and Scabbards
Hello Dragur, do your Bayonets also have the pencil markings in the planting groove? Beautiful authentic pieces. Only the bayonethangers worry me, they are actually on Tula bayonets. ...., haben deine Bajonette auch die Bleistiftmarkierungen in der Aufpflanznut ? Schöne autentische Stücke. Nur die T...

Re: Another Mystery AK47 Bayonet for Discussion ????
Interesting, nice attempt.
Laser engraving in Poland in 1960? I really missed something )))
The scabbard is Polish, the handles are Bulgarian, the knife is probably also Bulgarian, I can't see anything else in the pictures.
Fits well in my fake collection.

Re: Mysterious Hungarian AKM 6X3 Type I Bayonet & Scabbard?
The bayonet number 3. with the sealed cover plates is very rare to find and should have the first scabbard variant 1. Mike, I agree with you, as you described it, that there was a mixture during the production, but since there is no numbering, this sheath type can also have been paired with this bay...

Thank you Michael for your work on this post, I couldn't have described it better. I'm still thinking of what to call this type of bayonet.

Re: Do you think this can be repaired?
Actually, there is nothing you can do about it. It's very strange that it got a bullet and splinters, mostly just one of the two. The rest of Hilt was improperly removed. The TGL number of the GDR handle is immortalized on the tang. Personally, I like combat relics, but not the one where parts have ...

Re: Eastern Germany AKM Type I
Addendum Revised Russian 6X3 / DDR M.59 The GDR also imported Russian 6X3 bayonets, which were also repaired. I show these repairs in the following pictures. Image: 1st, 2nd Bayonet No .: 1. Russian. in original condition without weapon number. Imported rus. 6X3 bayonets were all barely numbered. Im...

Re: Eastern Germany AKM Type I
The one shown is a repaired DDR M. 59 / 6X3 This numbering is not that unusual. The GDR had various paramilitary organizations, who did not necessarily adhere to the norms of the army, even in the NVA there were tolerated deviations from the norm - not everything was 100% the same. The bayonet with ...

Re: My AK bayonet collection
The gray Bayonet Hanger device on the upper bayonet is one of the rarest GDR variants and does not belong on this Scabbard.

Re: Wearing and Displaying a Romanian wrap around Hanger?
As far as everything is correctly described Mike. Basically, the scabbards of the Romanian bayonets are carried outwards with the cutting plate, pivot point and stop. They were also given out in the factory-standard manner in the changing hanger. Now to the actual topic, the Romanians are unfortunat...

Re: What type of 6X5 is this?
I can't really get used to the Pictures on offer. Components and parts of decommissioned Weapons were used in the Descriptions. I only see an intact 6X5 Bayonet with no signs of any post-processing. It may be that the Bayonet lock was blocked with permanent adhesive (is just a thought). The Blade wa...

Re: Polish AK Bayonet Collection
Hi Mike,
The Polar Vortex caught me too, no Problem, I don't have to go to work.
My Polish 6H3 with the black and red handle are numbered from 0xxxx to 22107.
Dark brown only up to 02155
Brown marbled until 20917
I think we won't find numbers over 30000.

So I see a mix of Russian 6X3 and 6X4 Bayonets. left side 6X4 first from above without color number on the handle. The other 4 with white color numbers on the handle side. Bayonet 4 with GDR gray carrying device and white color number on the scabbard. Bayonets right side, 3 bayonets 6X3 whereby the ...
