Re: Croatian AK inspired bayonet for the VHS-2 rifle

Agree with Mike, not really an AK related one, but a very nice bayonet anyways, very good info and pics from Marko. Thanks Marko, I would gladly add one of these to my general bayonet collection. I suppose it will be a while before any "leak out" I'll move this to the off-topic section, b...

Re: Yugo fighting knife

This was an awesome find! Thank you for this post because I never knew this existed.
I think I read somewhere that it was a civilan version sold under the "camp knife" name.

Croatian AK inspired bayonet for the VHS-2 rifle

During the ceremony held for the 29th anniversary of the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia (Dan Oružanih snaga Republike Hrvatske and the Day of the Land Army (Dan Hrvatske kopnene vojske) their Honor Guard Battalion received new uniforms and a new look - instead of their Yugo SKS r...

Re: Russian 6x5 and 6x9 training versions

All three came from the Russian Federation, but from different sources. All three are different colors from gray to black, from flat to gloss finish and appear to have been molded from different materials. Not rubber, but flexible foam, from very soft to almost ridged. Mike Thank you! :hail:

Re: Russian 6x5 and 6x9 training versions

Here are my versions of these "Russian Training Bayonets". I do display them in a separate section of my collection. The 6X4 and 6X5 ones are displayed with real, (Bulgarian), scabbards. I had extra Bulgarian scabbards as the matching bayonets are displayed mounted on rifles. Some of thes...

Re: Russian 6x5 and 6x9 training versions

Thank you very much.
I have seen, for instance, some examples here: https://grey-shop.ru/Airsoft-AEG/Training-Knifes (made by Predator); and on eBay.
And was naturally curious about "training" versions.
Alas, only toys, but seemingly, nice looking ones.

Kind regards,
Marko

Re: Russian 6X5 straps, hangers and etc

Thank you very much! Yes, because of the "D" ring and the smooth leather, I was unsure if it was a Bulgarian or Russian. On the one hand, the smooth leather could make it Bulgarian, but the flat "D" ring would make it more Russian. Unfortunately, there are no markings on the leat...

Russian 6X5 straps, hangers and etc

For the 6x5 bayonet, I've wondered what are the accesories (bel hangers, straps, frogs, etc.) available for this specific bayonet - and its variations? I have an example with a black belt hanger made, but smooth instead of the "typical" black pebble-grain leather (or brown). It came with a...

Russian 6x5 and 6x9 training versions

Greetings!

I was wondering if there are any "official" training versions of these two Russian bayonets?
Rubber, "real", plastic, airsoft... -> one or multiple sources of training versions?
Thank you!

Re: DDR bayonet AKM Type 1 - verify

Thank you so much, Mr. B. This is far more than I ever expected! Thank you very much for your help. Just one quick follow-up question: Is it possible that the scabbards were sometimes not electropenciled with the serial number? I didn't not remove the insulator, however I looked on both sides and on...

DDR bayonet AKM Type 1 - verify

Greetings to all! I recently acquired what seems to be an East German DDR AKM Type 1 bayonet. The rubber insulator has the 5998 number. The bayonet itself (the blade and hilt) has the serial number HG 7920, and the number 6 or 9 on the back od the hilt. Inside the grip is the letter (N) or (Z), and ...

Regular Russian 6x4 AKM Type II - unnumbered?

Greetings! Recently I acquired this bayonet and was trying to figure out its provenance, but I am no expert. I was looking for a good forum to ask some questions and I came across this wonderful forum full of great information. I will post some pictures and what I was able to figure out and what I d...
