Re: New prototype Romy Ak bayo?

Re: New prototype Romy Ak bayo?
Could be the scabbard lying under the gun?! Appears theres a rubber insulator piece on it or is it just me?? Either way it would be interesting to see the scabbard and bayonet in close detail. Mike, They should come your way sooner or later. But maybe you also have more increased chances if you trad...

New prototype Romy Ak bayo?
Found these pics on the net. Shows various products from Cugir 2018, including an interesting black bayonet mounted on their newer NATO specified AK.
Bottom line - there is a new ak bayonet to hunt!

Re: Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet & Scabbard
Gerhard, Thank you alot. I believe too that this bayonet is very interesting with its features! The Yugo 6x4 bayonets are very common so all in all its interesting to see some with different features. So again, thank you :-) Mike, I just went through your other post and its interesting how your bayo...

Re: Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet & Scabbard
Very interesting Gerhard, thanks for your great feedback And great pictures! Very interesting to see another example of this particular matt colour of the the Yugo 6x4. My first thoughts when I received it back then was that this had to be some sort of production error. It makes good sense!! Mike, I...

Re: Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet & Scabbard
I find it funny Martin - you as an author, of a great Kalashnikov bayonet book, has the arrogant “i know it all”- attitude you show. Insted of being inquisitive about a bayonet you never saw before and dont know shit about, you imidiatly put up theories of the item being a fake.. rude and unnessesar...

Re: Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet & Scabbard
Like many other subjects of unknown varieties of ak bayos, any theory goes. Untill confirmed documentation pops up. If it ever does. I find this a bit compareable to the polish grey scabbards. Where they actually an export product to an african country or what was the truth? Either way it was an int...

Re: Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet & Scabbard
Martin, I think the person selling that piece on Ebay is the person you think of. A person I think has pissed off a few people throughout time with various faked items.. well enough said there.. but sure, you should bring that sand blaster to your gun show. Mike, Thanks for your thoughts. I think th...

Re: Yugoslavian AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet & Scabbard
Few years ago i obtained this matt finish Yugo 6x4. It has no serial numbers, but presents the usual Yugo markings on the blade and wire cutter area. To me it could just be a product meant for export and recently I saw a post on the web with a similar looking bayonet. That bayonet had been obtained ...

Collection for sale
For any one interested, there is currently what appears to be a “complete” collection of ak bayonets for sale on ebay.. the price is surely debateable based on the individual pieces.. for instance I see multible reworked Russian bayonets and a “civil” T81.. on the plus side you do get the NDM86 and ...

Re: New member intro
Impressive - untoched ones are hard to come by! I my self is a proud owner of Tula example. You can see it under the Russian section.
When time permits you should add all your cool pieces to the individual sections

There are certainly alot to discuss

One question - is that izhvesk 6x4 transitional a reworked bayonet with renumbering or is it in its original untouched state with original numbers?

Mike,
How do you tell if a 6x3 scabbard is either Tula or Izhvesk? Whats the difference?

Russian 6x4 transitional
I recently acquired this Russian 6x4 transitional piece. Its a non-reworked piece with original numbers. Its a tula production and there are some interesting stamps and markings.
