More info on these.
CDS Ehrenreich was definitely involved in the sale/manufacture of these.

Re: Russian AKM 6X4 Type 5 Bayonet and Scabbard

Still need one myself. Been offered one or 2 scraggly ones, usually non matching but not willing to go that high for one, especially not in ideal condition.
I'll be patient, maybe a combo of some of my trade items will turn one up eventually. This is a waiting game once you reach a certain level

Good pickups! Love the Tabuks.
That T lug should be replaceable by someone handy with metal.

Re: Type 65s/84s bayonet

That's a very interesting scabbard. I am not sure if the serial would relate to the prototype status though, as all the ones I have seen, the serial is the last numbers of the rifle serial. But that scabbard really is interesting.

Yip....but so far no-one has been able to offer a decent explanation for that modification or by whom.
G36 is a nice one.

Forum fund appeal

Hi all,

I know this isn't a busy forum, but I do think we have a remarkable amount of info stored here.
As you know, I run this free, to make sure the info is available to the collectors out there.
Just had another recent hosting bill, and $100 is what I need to lay out of my pocket. If there is ...

Re: G3 bayonets

I don't collect them. But if I come across a rare one I put it away for the future. I think the only fairly scarce one I have is the KCB 70 one for the Greek contract. Have seen Iranian and Turkish around here in SA seldom but occasionally.

Fantastic purchase! One of the rarest of the rare. Well done, and a lovely example.
I think we're all looking for mechanisms for ours, never seen one turn up for sale. I still maintain these with the slot for the cocking lever are NRS, made to take the mechanism. The standard NR not having the slot ...

Re: 6x9-1 bayonet and 6x9 combat knife

I noticed we didn't have many pictures of the earlier version of this bayonet, so I am uploading a few for reference.
Main difference appears to be the crossguard. Not my bayonets, just taken off the net.

Re: I have added my first bayonet to my collection. If you can help me identify it, I would be very happy.

As others said, it's a Romanian "Type 1" 6X3 bayonet.
These used to be among the most common of the AK bayonets, but nice matching numbered ones are getting slightly scarcer over time, complete with Rubber insulator. Still fairly common, but a decent example.
If you are in Turkey, this would be the ...

Yes, but there are others reading this, and since the topic is already SA Romys, and his are gone...makes sense to mention it here. Not trying to trade to him ;-)
